This private tour gives you the chance to go on a cycling tour through the pretty rubber estates of Kithulgala and to see the Belilena Caves. Cycle through overgrown rubber plantations. Hike through the dense jungles around Kitulgala. Explore secretive caves where mankind began. See the archaeological excavation which is famed for the discovery of the ‘Balangoda Man’ skeleton. Make some wonderful memories with your photographs.

Experience:

The tour will begin at the Plantation Hotel, where you will meet your guide. Early morning or early afternoon periods are recommended to prevent sunburn during this three-hour tour. Wear long pants and closed shoes to avoid thorny burrs and insect bites, as there will be a hike ahead. Bringing some salt for leeches, mosquito repellent, and rain gear is also advisable. You will cycle through rubber plantations until you reach the trailhead near Inoya estate. The surroundings are rich and lush, with rubber trees and workers gathering latex. Once at the trailhead, you'll hike through the dense jungle terrain, spotting rare birds and wildlife. After approximately an hour and a half, you'll reach the Belilena Caves, located behind a cascading waterfall. After exploring the caves for about an hour, you'll hike back to the trailhead and cycle back to the Plantation Hotel, completing the tour. The total distance is 6 km, and the duration is 2 hours.
